James & Erin

So, I have been waiting and waiting to post and blog about James and Erin's Wedding from May the 2nd. I had a chance to share a very few edited images from the wedding with Erin this morning and now I hopefully will get through a whole blog before my kids want something. :)

Now, back to James and Erin. I met Erin at a great little coffee shop in Old Towne Portsmouth last summer. She had found a Special I was advertising on Craigslist and had contacted me about being their Wedding photographer. We had a wonderful meeting and we decided that we'd be a great team to work on her wedding together (I was going to also be helping a little with the planning if she needed me for anything). Anyway, Erin and James used to be Bartenders. I needed a Bartender for an event, called the 2 of them and everything worked out great. That 1st meeting at the coffee shop was the begining of a really great new friendship. So, time goes by, we chat here and there but the holidays keep us all busy. Finally it's time to get cracking on their engagement photos, so one VERY cold afternoon, we meet in Old Towne Portsmouth again for their Engagement Session.

Anyway, James and Erin were married on May 2nd in James' Parents Beautiful backyard garden. The day started out a little rainy in some places.  I met Erin at the salon around 1 to hang out while she and her maid of honor had their hair and makeup done. Then I headed over to the Sadler's house to catch up with James and his Adorable 4yr old son, James Jr. for some photos of them getting ready. After helping put up the Gazeba and decorate a little, I headed over to the hotel to meet Erin and get photos of her getting dressed in The Most Beautiful Wedding Gown. So Simple, and Classic and Elegant, just like the Bride.  Then it was back to the House for the Ceremony.  The sky cleared up and the sun was shining bright for the Big Moment.  It was Beautiful and Wonderful and Touching.

Being able to be there for 2 amazing people who have been in and out of each-others lives for 15 years is Amazing.  It was nice to share that Joining of 2 souls who Obviously belong together.  They are Amazing people who make everyone feel wonderful and Important.

Congratulations and Good Luck.  I look forward to many more chances to take Family Photos and maybe in the next few years some Maternity and Newborn Portraits.  :)

Sky Diving

So, a few weekends ago I headed over to Sky Dive Suffolk to visit my friend Lacey and take photos of their Sky Dive Boogie.  I ended up having a great day riding up in the plane and taking photos of the people jumping out and also of the Divers coming in to land.  It was really great because after a fun day of hanging out and meeting new people and such.  my friend Lacey surprised me by telling me that I could go jump if I wanted.  I've thought of Sky Diving but never really thought I would actually do it.  Well, I did~!  It was AMAZING~!  I have a video from my dive, but I'm having a hard time uploading it.  I can't wait 'til I can upload it so everyone can see.  I'm looking forward to going back and jumping again in the very near future.  Anyway, here is one of my fave photos from the day that I took.  more photos to come.

Kerry and Abby

Kerry and Abby had an AMAZING Wedding in the Outer Banks on the 17th of April.  This has been one of my favorite weddings to photograph.  Beautiful Bride, Handsome Groom, Amazing Location.  They were married at the Elizabethan Gardens on Roanoke Island.  While we were shooting their Portraits after the wedding, I took one of my Favorite Photos of all time.  Here it is.....

Steven and Jasmane

So, I started blogging about Steven and Jasmane's Valentine's Day Wedding, but I never really had time to finish.  Steven and Jasmane found me through a Craigslist ad the I posted last summer.  You've seen their photos on my site a few times before.  I did their Engagement Photos last August at Yorktown Beach.  I also did their Daughter Izabella's 6 month photos.  Jasmane's Bridals were done in Newport News City Center at the Marriot.  Anyway, I Loved working with these two.  It's always a pleasure to work with them.  Here are a Few of my Favorite photos from their Wedding.

Busy Busy Busy

Lately my life has ben soooo crazy busy.  So, here's what's been going on.  April started with preparing for my son Benjamin's 4th Birthday, my Husband's Re-Enlistment and Easter.

Steven Re-enlisted on the 9th.  it's amazing to think that in August of this year he will have been in the Navy for 10 years.  I am sooo proud of him for serving and I couldn't be happier to have signed on right at his side for another 5 years of Military Life.  It's amazing how much what he does make who he is.  The ceremony was really small but fun.  I didn't realize that they were going to give our Boys certificates also along with Steven.  So, all of the photos I took have Steven and the Boys in them.  They stood right by their Daddy the whole time.  :)

Our long week continued with Benjamin's 4th Birthday Party on Saturday.  Benjamin helped plan his party and make the party list.  We had about 40-50 people come over and celebrate with us.  We ordered Benjamin's cake from Maggie Moo's.  Maggie Moo's is Benjamin's Favorite ice cream place.  It was a great day of fun, games, presents, good food, good friends and a lot of Good times.  To finish the day we headed to Langley Speedway (another one of Benjamin's Favorite places to go).  We hung out with some of the friends from the party and had a great night.

That weekend also included Easter.  We had a great day.  We invited a friend, Christen and her boys, Dillan and Christian over for dinner.  It was a great day.  We started the day at the Easter Egg Drop at CNU.  That was a LOT of fun.  We've never done anything like it and I can't wait for next year to hopefully do it again.

Catching Up....

So, I finally have a few minutes to hopefully catch up on my blogging.  Enjoy the next few posts.  :)

SO....

I ABSOLUTELY need to catch up and catch my readers up on what's been going on. Wedding season has already started for me this year. I had the pleasure of photographing 2 weddings so far this year: a Valentine's Day Wedding for 2 of my friends, Steven and Jasmane and I helped out at Kerry and Abby's Wedding in Nags Head, NC this past weekend.

Steven and Jasmane were married at The Pavilion in Newport News Park. Tons of Red and Pink and Hearts. It was beautiful. I really need to take some time and post a few photos on here.

Kerry and Abby had an Amazing setting for their wedding at the Elizabethian Gardens on Roanoke Island in NC. These 2 were meant to be. They are college sweethearts and they've been together for 10 years now. Good Job You Two~! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your Special Day.

As for what else has been going on... Geesh, Where do I Start. April has been CRAZY busy. I'll post about what's been going on in my normal life a little bit later tonight. :)
