New Business Opportunities....

So, I met up with a new photographer last night.  He's a friend of a friend.... Anyway, he was looking for someone to possibly partner with him on some of his Wedding shoots he has scheduled for this year.  Anyway, guess who he asked to work with him....?  ME.  I'm sooo excited.  I have my own special style and vision that I want to continue to develop, but now that I am working side by side with 2 different and equally amazing and talented photographers, I'm going to be getting tons more opportunities, experience and practice.  Couldn't be asking for much more.  :)

Scheduling Details.....

Some Scheduling information for Clients.....

As of right now, I will not be scheduling any new 'large' projects for the month of June.  My month is pretty packed already.  I will however make time for anyone who is needed Maternity or Newborn photos.  Also, I will try and fit in any other shoots that are necessary or under a time constraint and need to get done.  Unfortunately, most of my weekend dates are already booked at this time.  Like I said, I will try my best to make as much time as needed available for my loyal clients.  

The first week of June I have Family in town.  I also have a Rehearsal Dinner that first week while my family is here and a HUGE Wedding on the 7th.  I will then be headed out of town for the Middle 2 weeks of June for a Family Vacation and a Wedding in Connecticut.  The last week of June will be catching up on photos and also visiting with some friends who are coming to VA for the week and renting a summer house in Sandbridge.  

Like I said, Contact me if you are NEEDING a shoot scheduled in June.  I will fit you in or I will make sure that you are taken care of by a Fantastic photographer friend of mine who I work Weddings with.  :)  

Some Great Things......

So, the last few days have been amazing.

1: I was approached by a local hospital to be the official photographer in their Labor and Delivery Ward.  This would be HUGE~!  I'm waiting to hear from their Legal Dept to get back intouch with me sometime this week.  This would be a HUGE step up for my business and a private contract with this institution might lead to more business with other hospitals in the area.

2: I was contacted today by a Modeling Agency in Hampton to do some photo shoots to them.  Hopefully this will turn into a more permeant job.  :)  We discussed some ideas for shoots.  After talking to the Founder of the Agency today, it looks like there is the possibility of some shoots with them over the next month or so.  So, keep your eye out for those photos.

3: Depending on how the above shoots with the Models go, I will probably be introducing a few new products to my arsenal.   :)  I have some great ideas for new things to target a different client type and demographic.  

4: I am also trying to introduce some new album ideas to my clients.  I will be researching software and development companies over the next few weeks and months to find the best product to offer my clients.

5: We finally ordered my Canon 430EX Flash.  It should be here before the end of the week.  :)  I'm sooo excited.  I am hoping to invest in even more equipment over the next few months.

   

Anyway, that's it for the big news... for now. :)

Bridal Shoot....

Yesterday's Bridal Shoot at the Crysler Museum in Norfolk was Amazing.  We had soo much fun.  The Bride was Radiant... The venue was Beautiful...  Photos will not be posted until after the wedding since.... Some people snoop, and the Bride's dress is a 'Secret' until her Wedding Day.  So, Keep patient.  The Wedding is in June and Bridal and Wedding photos will be posted then.  :)

Absolutely Excited~!!!

Tomorrow is going to be an amazing day.  Kristin Starcher of Like A Dream Photography has asked me to be her partner for a few weddings this summer.  We have already shot one wedding together this spring.  Well, we have another wedding coming up in June that will be at Wells Theatre in Norfolk.  Anyway, I am sooo excited because tomorrow is the Bridal Shoot for that Bride.  The reason I am so excited for that shoot is because we have almost 3 hours at the Crystler Museum.  The Bride rented Huber Hall at the Museum for her photos.  For those of you who are not familiar with Huber Hall.... IT IS BEAUTIFUL~!!  I'm soooo excited~!!  Keep an eye out for these photos.  :)

Today....

....Was another fun photo shoot for me.  I took Maternity photos for one of my Best Girlfriends, Kristin and her husband Glenn.  Also included were their 2 beautiful little girls.  Pictures will be posted soon.  :)

***Littlest Heroes Project***

Okay everyone, I have teamed up with photographers all over the nation on a project called 'Littlest Heros' started by photographer Felicia R. of Espressions of Life Photography (http://www.flickr.com/photos/feesfotography).  This is a non-profit project that brings awareness of childhood diseases and illness through Photography. All sessions are free of charge. If you know a photographer who would like to be in on this or if you know of a family/child that could benefit from a Littlest Heros session, please let me or Felecia know. Everything you need to know is below. Please read! Here are some of the details...

*Eligibility for the project:

Any child or young person (Infant-21) that is currently fighting or has fought or suffers from any of the following: (the whole family...super sibs and the brave parents are welcome to particpate in the session as well!)

*Autism, Alopecia, Aids, Bell's Palsy, Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis, Cerebral Palsy, CHD, Severe Diabetes, Down Syndrome, HIV, Kidney Disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Neurocutaneous Syndromes, 

Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Shaken Baby Syndrome, Sickle Cell Anemia, Spina Bifida, Tay-Sachs Disease, Ect.

*What is provided to the child/family:

The Children and Families who come to me through the Littlest Hero project will be provided a free session and a CD with all the edited Images from the session.

Busy Weekend....

Well, It's been a busy Weekend for me.  Saturday the 5th, was my son Benjamin's 3rd Birthday Party.  That was a BLAST with Tons of people.  Then, Sunday, I had 3 photo shoots. 2 Maternity shoots and some photos of my sons.  Keep an eye out for some new photos in the near future.  

BTW.... I am accepting appts for all types of shoots, however, I will not be booking myself solid over the next few months for a few different reasons..... 

1: I injured my knee 2 week ago and I am starting physical therapy in the next few days and also looking at possible knee surgery in the next few months.

2: I have 3 girlfriends who are all due to deliver their beautiful babies in the next 30-60 days and all have requested I make time to be there with them to catch photos of their new bundles being born, so I will be trying to keep an open schedule to be able to be there for them.
