Hey everyone~! I'm back from Photographing Jon & Heather's Wedding in OBX. It was soooo much fun (with some drama added in.) The Bride was Amazing, the Location was Beautiful and the People were Fun. My Family and I headed down to Manns Harbor, NC early Friday with our friends and Fellow Photographers Kristin and Glenn and their Family. We made a few stops along the way and got to our Rental House in time for Dinner. The rental was Perfect with this awesome old house in the year next door. I'll post some photos of this spooky, broken-down place later when I get a chance. Anyway, We all settled in and had fun with the Kids and each other. Saturday was the Wedding. The day started out Kinda Crappy. Right after we met the Bride, one of the other photographers got into an accident with my Truck. Needless to say, it couldn't be driven. I had to leave the bride to get that taken car of. Thankfully no one was hurt and the Bride was Fabulous. She had the Limo driver take me to my truck to deal with the police and getting the truck towed and such. The best part was that after everything was handled, she sent the Stretch SUV to pick us up from the accident site. How Fun is that?? Anyway, I am grateful to her that on her special day she was so patient and thoughtful and caring. Once we got back to the Bride, we went to her beach house to get her and her Bridesmaids dressed and then rode in the Limo to the location. The Location was Amazing. Heather and Jon got married at the Roanoke Island Aquarium. We did some beautiful outside portraits and then headed inside for some amazing photos in front of the Shark Tank. They got married outside the aquarium, beside the ocean at sunset. How Gorgeous. The reception was inside, again, next to the shark tank. Everything was amazing.
Sunday was a long day of traveling for me. I rode back with Kristin and Glenn to my house while Steven and the Boys stayed at the Rental house. Then I had to get Steven's truck and drive back the 3 hours to Mann's Harbor. After we finished packing everything up we made a stop at my truck to get the rest of our belongings out and than started back on the 3 hour trip home. It was a LONG day in a vehicle for me. I was in a car from 11 am 'til we got home at almost 10:30 pm that night.
Anyway, I finished editing the photos from Jon & Heather's Wedding last night. As soon as Kristin and Glenn have finished theirs and delivered the photos to the Bride, I will make a Gallery for my Portfolio. Keep an eye out for them in the next month or so.
Also, This afternoon I just booked another September Wedding. As of right now, I have my Son Joseph's 1st Birthday on September 5th. Now I have another Wedding on September 6th. I have 2 sets of Engagements the weekend of the 13th and 14th. Then on the 27th, I have a Wedding in Virginia Beach and on the 28th, I'm helping Kristin with a Wedding in Yorktown. Throughout the month I also have a few pending sessions for regular portraits that I am waiting to finalize. Looks like September is going to be a busy month~!
Keep checking back for more Photos and more Updates~!
